Meraki JT Avalon

Avalon was the second experimental we added in 2022. We had always tended to keep at least one experimental doe for fun but when we lost our experimental Lia in the spring and then added back her niece, Twilight, we figured "what's a few more". I saw Avalon posted for sale while I was pumping gas scrolling through Facebook and I jumped at the opportunity to add something that had the genetics of some of my favorite herds across all breeds.

Avalon has been a rather gangly and slow coming 2 year old, but she made the top 20 at Nationals again this year as she had prior, and although her appraisal score did not reflect what I feel the true potential of this doe is, our appraiser was very kind and true in his assessment and fair in his regards that she is just immature and needs time. This is time we are willing to give her. She love her rear angulation, the length and levelness of rump, and how easy she was to milk both by hand and machine.
